footballnsw.com.au/2018/05/17/football-nsw-review-in-to-private-academies/So in other words: To all Private Academies, Please advise how you make so much money by scamming the kids you train because we need to make some more $ in our budget. And if you dont tell us we will ban you, how we can ban you we have no idea because it would be a restriction of trade on trying to ban a privately run business that has no affiliation to Football NSW. Regards xyz Really what a joke, forget about reviewing this and start focusing on getting your own crap together. What they do need to do is to stop private academies advertising anyone attending their academies once a week and get an overseas contract as if its solely due to their academy without mentioning the FNSW registered clubs they play and train with for the 4 out of 7 days of the week.

this is what happens when you don't have any answers. Start looking for people to blame.
Any org, club or coach that fears academies does so out of their own insecurities.
Just because the cost is high it doesn't mean they're doing something wrong. IF as a parent you're stupid enough to pay the wrong academy, well, suck it up.
The ONLY thing they need to look into is clubs that force a player into an academy to have their positions. For every other issue, we already have the relevant consumer protection laws in this country.

People pay for extra tuition for school, music etc I don't think that means parents believe their offspring are going to be able to earn enough so that their grandchildren can be brought up near Northern Tigers 😀. I guess the issues arise in terms of what an academy suggests is possible in terms of offshore opportunities, but after a year or two of watching little Johnny or Joanna in the system, I presume most get reality checks. It's not like there are many private academies for those 18 years and above, so it does get worked out.

but even if they do promise the world, so what?
Holden will tell you that the Captiva is a good car. Don't see FNSW trying to shut down Holden.

I used to have a Captiva! I am all for caveat emptor, but the vendor does need to act properly too. I have had irregular experience with them, but never got sold the Harbour Bridge by the ones my son has frequented.

Would it be too much of a stretch to think this is more NSL wanting to set up their own academies, make money and circumvent any current caps and other rules around private academies?? The outcome is obvious...private academies will be brought back to the fold and NSL gets another tick. Hallelujah!!

We are a block away from Enmore Theatre, not much point in having an expensive car, they get scraped regularly. The captiva served us well.

Q: FNSW is refocussing SAP to the Associations and inevitably will rebirth association representative football as if it is a new revelation. Therefore, the SAP Licence ledger will not have the figures it formerly had in the past FY Balance Sheet. Therefore, by allowing private academies to be licenced as a recognised FNSW football education provider, this may assist with building up the ledger.
Perhaps?
But they won't take on a legal battle by attempting to shut down PA's...it'd be like trying to close down McDonalds Restaurants...only consolation is there are less restaurants to shut down...

Hmmm Not sure about the rebirth regards elite assc football. The issue as communicated at the directors meeting that i attended was that SAP is a process of learning not a competition. Therefore given there is limited regulatory overview from FNSW competitions other than setting up the comp schedule and registering players and determining player numbers per age the view was the Assc are better placed to run the SAP philosophy of education and learning whilst including current NPL clubs. Now for me that concept is fine but not too many Association TD's are capable of getting all their local clubs on one page to deliver content of SAP philosophy along with coach education. Thats a massive job. Now.... IMO this is a good thing and im completely happy with this as a proposal. The detail is yet to be seen. But i will be in a good position to help with that detail The SAP as we know it wont be the same. Im pretty sure that most clubs, including Assc NPL clubs would still want to see a higher level of more competitive games. Read into that what you wish mate but we will see. Overall we can walk and chew on this and its a good thing IMO.

All fine now that there is an extension of time to allow Associations and others to talk through the detail....rather being told with no prior warning they are running SAP.Suspect there will be enough kids in each age group to create a SAP comp within Associations (certainly for larger Assoc's) and this will be complemented by games/tournaments with teams outside the Assoc.
