However, the dialogue is not about SAP persay...it is about private academies. OMG2, you are on the 'money' and are in a good position to make such educated and experienced comments. But, there is a funds void; yes? Replacing some of this with an 'Academy Endorsement Fee' could allow clubs, privateers and schools to apply for certification to operate an academy within their current organisation. Right?

That's correct. The opportunity to deliver academies into a structured comp by way of a star type accreditation is alluring perhaps to the Governing body. Will it make the local comps stronger? I can't say as we would be debating if the current player at NPL club would leave to move to a academy?

Several private academies should be more accurately referred to as "Football Tour Operators"

Those SD players originally came from Futboltec which inturn came from NPL clubs. What I can say is that some academies will form teams to play tournaments by selecting their best which weren't completely developed by the academy, these kids have had numerous coaches and its not just the academy developing them. It's funny when a academy coach from well known academies coach a NPL level team, struggle to get the best out of the team they coach as now they don't have the option to select from 120 kids. Cough cough SD and Apia

Is your TD not the owner of the Academy ? The TD was working at First Phase Factory, Seven Hills. An indoor synthetic pitch “Goal Station”. He left prior to the season commencing to keep his TD role.

Interesting point: School's advertising that they have a football program could be considered as being a 'private academy' by definition. Therefore, this 'review' could have further reach than what one could have expected.
Once the SAP Licence Fees decrease there will be the introduction to privateers, clubs and schools to register and pay a fee to be endorsed by FNSW/FFA.
Thoughts? And will this apply to HAL clubs?

One sports schools from down south which is aligned to an HAL club has hand picked students to train with said club on 2 weeknights per week for the next 3 weeks, therefore rendering them unable to train with their PL clubs, these are obviously trials for next season, hello FNSW!!!
Of course clubs can deny them the opportunity however parents cannot deny little Johnny his chance at the "big time',causing plenty of issues.
