For me a 1 nil loss to France is a win; then we take that confidence into the other two games to finish second.

Can't understand why Milligan is a centre back, surely Jurman is a better option. Hopefully he proves me wrong against a french team which has an awesome attack.

The best thing i heard is Jedinak being dropped in favour of more mobile players.

2-1. France should beat the other teams in our group. If we play well and win one of those games we're in with a chance of making it into the 2nd round.
It was a penalty but the 2nd French goal was very lucky. Arzani should have been put into the game earlier.

Australia was very well organized and dare I say it, "well drilled" and whilst the French winner was fortunate, we hardly created a chance and certainly aside from the brain snap handball that led to the penalty, we didn't really look like troubling their defence. There is no shame in that as it is a good French team, but I will curious to see whether BVM's tactics change much when we play the other two. Having watched Denmark/Peru this morning, both are beatable, but it could suit us playing Peru last if we do get a result against Denmark and assuming they have nothing to play for. I must say, I do like the way Peru approached the game, full on attack and whilst it didn't produce an equalizer, it was an exciting game to watch.
It could be that there is a bigger role for Arzani in the next game, I guess the question is how you slot him in. I am not sure carrying all of Leckie, Nabbout and Kruse at the same time makes much sense, so perhaps one of them could be left out and Arzani gets a spot.

As “well drilled” as a former Spartans team?

Jurich’s purpose in every game I’ve ever watched?: can’t shoot, can’t hold up the ball and no athleticism - which strikers attribute does he have? Cruise: never does anything Rogic: most overrated Aussie player, where’s all this amazing talent I keep hearing about? Must’ve left it on the Futsal court years ago - doesn’t even look like a Futsal player. Big tick for Mooy, Sainsbury, Leckie & Ryan

Will be interesting to see whether this is the tactic for every game....defensive and hope to get a goal from penalty/free kick/corner. France were poor and unlikely to get far.

Parked the bus and hoped for a miracle. I thought in first 15 mins, France by plenty, but for some reason they lost their way. Good result on paper, but still can’t see us getting a point, let alone a win. Coach has done a pretty good job in a limited time, however it will all turn to crap when Arnold takes charge.
