Sainsbury and Milligan are rocks and our keeper is excellent. Mooy as well. We have the making of a really good team. That is if Arnold doesn't do a job on them.

VAR was man of the match. Great penalty.

Without the Var we would be in the same position. Draw with France and a loss to Denmark.

I'm with you directfk...if Cahill was ever going to get a run the time was right when Nabbout got injured...we were getting in behind their defence and someone that can head the ball into the back of the net was needed...Juric tries hard but simply isn't unto it...

Cahill? Maybe Harry Kewell as well. 🤬Cahill can no longer even get a game in the A-League....living off the past!

I may be living off the past but Cahill is still more dangerous than any of the forwards we had on the park last night. Especially the last 10 minutes with those crosses flying through the box. Ange Posta would have won that game. He would have put Cahill on.
Marshall Soper would be my choice after Cahill.

Talk about Nabbout. How unlucky was that injury. I've never seen that before. Poor kid. He'll be back in the future for the Socceroos.

Actually, Mark Viduka is looking fit. Eddie Krncevic is ready to go. Cahill couldn't get near a goal for Millwall and I watched some of his efforts there and unfortunately, his best days, which were very good, are a long way in the past. He wouldn't have had to leave Melbourne City if he was banging them in there consistently. I think it was a selfish move on his part and denied a spot to an up and comer for the future.

I fear hes about to break into Ange-speak and talk about his "legacy"

If it was your choice who would you play up front for us ? I think a fit Juric is our best option, with MacLaren not far off, but I wish Chris Wood was Australian! It's tricky with the formation, but perhaps a 4-4-1-1 where Arzani sits behind the 9 makes more sense. Jedinak and Mooy in front of the back four and perhaps Luongo and Leckie playing wider. I am not as convinced on Leckie as some are, no issues on pace and commitment, but first touch is iffy and I am not sure his crossing is much good. I was hoping Rogic would have more impact, but it's clear that unlocking defences at WC is different to looking like a superstar against Motherwell. I was very impressed with Behich, but don't feel the same about Risdon. He could get sent off against Peru...
