Rogic, Juric and Kruze.....Can anyone point to a single thing they did well? Leckie, Sainsbury, Arzani.......a class above. Coach......full marks for lifting the team well above the level they were playing at in the qualifiers. The Aussies always seem to struggle in the qualifiers, but play well during the finals. Maybe it has something to do with the quality of the opposition.

I'm having a laugh if anyone thinks Juric is up to it! How long does it take to realise he does not provide any class or international ability as a #9. Mclaren would've done a lot more and yes i feel old man Cahill would've contributed more also.
I dont understand out of every single professional footballer on the planet playing around the globe who is an Australian citizen, we think Josh Risdon is the best option at #2? Am i losing my marbles?

Obiwan, you aren't loosing your marbles. We blew that game. I'd rather have a 50yr old Cahill than some of those forwards on our front line. I've got a better striker in my AA8's team.

Having the title professional doesn't automatically make you correct, yes it does put you in a position of greater experience. BVM did not go out and try to find the best players per position across the globe, simply due to time constraints. He built off what he already had and what he was advised by his staff

Obiwan, I wasn't being critical of the coach or player. The coach and staff selected the players and now that's what we have to play with. I'm not happy with the front line but that may be all he has to select from.
Although I believe the coach should have played Cahill in both games. Why not, the others couldn't score and there was a good chance Cahill could have put one away in one of the games at least.

If I was the coach my instructions would be.
" Boys, kick the living crap out of them ! I want every player to come off that field after the game with a yellow card booking, even the keeper ! IF any opposition player tries to intimidate Arzarni, belt the mongrels ! There's no second prize here."
If we lose we go home ! RIP AND TEAR BOYS, RIP AND TEAR !!!
I give this same talk to my U/8s before any big game and I find it works wonders.

AHH, how I miss those days. Cheap fees. When we'd lose a game everyone shook hands after and that was it. Not everyone at the game was a football coach and strategic genius. Kids had respect and most parents were helpful. I could bluff my way through things and pretend that I knew what I was doing as the coach.( still know bugger all ) I miss those days.
