Westfields has an outstanding program. How does their educational program stack up .....or is it just a sports club?

Westfields has an outstanding program. So does Mamre Anglican, Thomas Hassell Anglican, Freeman Catholic College and Bossley Park. Just here to advertise that BPHS has some trials coming up and anyone is welcome to have a go.

Unless you play for sydfc, wsw or are a part of their football program then the rest of the system is irrelevant
The guy sounds like he is God’s gift to football, and pretty much discredits the whole npl youth system unless your part of the groups mentioned above. Really frustrated me when I heard him saying that a coach who is a plumber by day then coaches an npl youth team at night can’t compare with the coaches in the westfields system! The one crucial thing he forgot to mention is that plumber might have an extensive football background and understands the game in much more detail than the guys who look at computer screens to make a decision.
I’d think twice in sacrificing my kids education by putting all eggs in the Westfields football basket, that’s just my opinion anyway
Unless I have misinterpreted the conversation in the interview

Unbelievable! The FFA-sponsored best schools program in Australia only has access to half a pitch.

What I don’t understand with these programs is that they are based on paying fees also, so again people with low income families miss out if their kid has potential, yet the FFA and NSW government pump money into these schools.
Just another example of the football is played with the wallet in this country instead of the feet.

They should start a program up called " How to score goals in international matches " I know you jest but are also serious at the same time. What i don't understand that in the last decade of the new a-league their hasn't been a devoted FFA National Striker school where the best kids do nothing but shoot, turn, head and work the 18 yard box for hours on end. Passing through cones and doing mind-numbing drills "with a few shots" at the end of training will not fix the massive problem we have up front. Just my 2 cents worth.
