Nothing to do with Westfields. or Best and Less...Football and studies shouldn't mix... Hmmmmmmmmm.... We are talking about real footballers Even the young players from poverty stricken nations need education. It's not the NRL !!

Balance can't be achieved (imho) by going to a sports school to achieve an elite level in your sport. Have a close friend who's son went to one of these schools and the pressure on him was immense - morning training afternoon training, assignments and a general struggle just to keep up. General life takes a huge back seat. Some may say this finds out the mentally strong who can do it but regardless you only get one childhood and balance definitely is key. Genuinely wish good luck to those who have done and continue to do it.

The failure is the education system. Kids are considered failures if they get a D grade or dont get a mark greater than 80 in their HSC. I am glad we have chosen the school our kids attend. The education model is great and the football education they get is pretty good too. Loving the no homework policy as well. I would like to invite you to give this video a viewing to the end. I think there are some real truths in it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqTTojTija8
