4231 or anyone else, for arguments sake who would you promote to the A-League for the next season if relegation was introduced ? I'm not going to be critical at all, I'm just curious. I'm not against the idea but I believe very few clubs could afford to have a team in the A-League. Wrong, none could afford to be in the A-League! Furthermore, the A-League television rights $s will diminish if for example Perth Glory are replaced with Bonnyrigg. How many of the current A-League club owners will be putting their hand up for a pay cut? The game is already struggling financially... Having said that, something will need to be done to appease FIFA.

Everyone blames the money and affordability, look at other codes with big tv deals, they also don’t have 2nd tier professional clubs nor a relegation system. It’s not the funds but the administrators and sporting culture in Australia is poor. England pre EPL didn’t have these big tv pay deals and still had a football pyramid. So please stop talking cr@p on affordability...

Money drives everything in sport. Maybe you should put your own business model forward if you have an easy solution.

Money is the issue and most lower level clubs are struggling to field competitive teams in all ages. At least we now have a national league and there are some good games played. Of course that will never be good enough for some of the footballing geniuses on this forum but I enjoy the A-League very much.

Excitement plus tonight. 2 coaches red carded and Muscat wasn't one of them, a miracle in my eyes. Sydney just couldn't get the job done. All the goals were scored by the Victory. What a reply by Antonis.

And one of the highlights was Arnold being "rewarded" for his arrogance all season.
Perhaps his next venture with the socceroos will include comments from him along the lines of ....."we are the worst Socceroos team in history"

Syd Fc threw away the GF in my opinion.
100% offside with the goal. What about the 2 Victory coaches celebrating on the pitch with the players. Give them another 12 months on top of the meagre 4 weeks that they received. Taking the piss out of the FFA.
