If that six weeks meant you didn't have to watch A league games, it might be worthwhile. I heard an advertisement calling this week's Adelaide/Sydney game a, "blockbuster". At least you know they have a sense of humour... Unfortunately "the product" is not looking so good at the moment - the quality seems to have fallen....case in point: a striker who never scores a goal, never 1v1's a player, has no agility, cant head the ball and generally moves awkwardly gets plenty of game time since being promoted from chief bench warmer at SFC ...and no doubt will move on to again be selected in the Aussie u23s.

So...with the FFA under fire on a number of fronts, what do they do to promote the A League? Star Wars Round !! FMD....

I can only presume it's The Dark Lord's brainchild.

Do we have enough stars to have a war? Maybe a small skirmish would suffice.

I can only presume it's The Dark Lord's brainchild. The Dark Side would never join up with the FFA. Please...........

Sydney FC = Sydney Roosters.
" Stuff it, lets just buy a team and let the coach think he's doing a great job "

Shame it was resolved with a goalkeeping howler. He could get a gig at Liverpool FC with that performance 😁

On holiday in the UK at the moment and yesterday watched a Division One game between Peterborough United and Bury. Just under 5,000 spectators in a relatively intimate Stadium and without being a snob, the "experience" was superior to the A League one. The game tempo was high and with both teams pressing quite high at times, the skills under that kind of pressure were clearly greater than what we get domestically.
The other thing I found interesting was seeing close up that fouls that might have been given in A League (or youth league) were just waved play on. I suspect it probably breeds a more robust player and some of the skills displayed under that type of pressure were quite impressive I thought. The general pace of the game was higher and certainly was a reminder that our league has some way to go. I think a Sydney FC game played in a venue more like the ABAX Stadium we visited yesterday would be a much more TV friendly venue and probably make our game look a bit more exciting.

Careful taking too many ideas from English football...fast, dirty and unsophisticated might be the view of a Spanish snob 😁

Okon is a disgrace. Constantly blames the game's officials for his teams short comings. What his team needs is a coach, not a sook.
