More opportunities was the greatest response from the football public......the league will be opened up this will push all clubs to perform, develop and clean their act.

I think it's a good move making it 1 league but I think juniors need to stop funding seniors so we can pay for good coaches in the juniors because I haven't seen many stand out kids playing great football it's like all the kids look the same on the field we lack creativity and individualality I think the reason is clubs are getting the cheapest coaches then after paying $2400 I still take my son to an Accademy to teach him individual skill id like to see an all round coach or I'm asking to much

The main problem that I see with our game here is that most parents have grand illusions about their children and when it all goes pear shaped they blame all and sundry. The system here isn't 100% but if the player is good enough and injury free they will get to the top level.

There is a lack of quality coaches, particularly at the grass roots level.
Associations should make it mandatory for all coaches to have completed a formal coaching qualification.
I've seen under 15 rep teams that haven't developed beyond kick and chase.

dante,
Very few volunteers have the time or money to get these licences.

kookaburra,
Clubs which are more than happy to take money from parents should pay for their coaches to attend the courses.
I am aware of Clubs that pay for their coaches education/development. A foundation course can be completed in a weekend and costs <$100
If volunteers can't commit the time, they should do everyone a favor and not coach.
