The 12 boys & parents at Sutherland where devasted & have asked the club to explain their position, but still nothing Let us know when you hear something and what their excuse was. Such a shame for the boys.

Wouldn't it be reasonable to expect that someone on the Futsal Standing Committee knew exactly what was happening, and exactly what the outcome would be for the teams?

Good point Admin, you would think that as the President of Sutho is also on the FNSW Futsal Standing Committee he would VERY much be aware of the regulations. How could he let it go so far as to allow 11 & 12 Yr old boys to suffer for HIS mistake! I think this might be the last straw for some very loyal families!!!!

Admin, unfortunately the Futsal Standing Committee is an advisory body only, a euphemism for "toothless tiger", they are not allowed, and have not got the opportunity, to be involved in operational matters.
It is the FNSW "Futsal Department", non existent as it may be, which comes under the FNSW Competitions Department, that concerns it self with the everyday running of the game.
I would have thought that the P/L and S/L competition Manager(ess) would be up to speed in what was or was not happening and would have taken appropriate action sooner rather than TOO LATE! No names,no packed drills...

Even so, he still would have been aware. I know a lot of people like him, but there are no excuses for what has happened to these kids.

I am not excusing it: as club president, or whatever, he should have taken action to not let the situation get to that stage!

There is no question about it. The boys & coach where devastated to say the least. The coach had trained these boys made up of 11 & 12 year olds for quite some time & they where so excited to play finals football. Sutherland have a lot to answer for. Whilst we can all point the finger at either the club or FNSW it was very clear the outcome of the breach of the rule would be. Other clubs had suffered the same fate during the season & at finals time. It was nothing new. The coach is a well respected former futsalroo & NSW coach which does great things for sutherland juniors introducing them to futsal & developing players. So dare I say it Sutherland will loose more than just the points for the game/finals.

It has been said on this thread, and other Futsal threads, that there are a variety of reasons why $$$ could be owing to FNSW from the Futsal clubs: regos, fines etc.
As the SL clubs have come to Semis stages of their season FNSW have put their foot down and said you owe, you pay on time, or we will disqualify you.
Unfortunately the clubs that didn't pay on time were penalised as FNSW said they would be. Take note clubs for the 2014/2015 season. Rightly or wrongly this has happened.
Tomorrow at 9am is the SL B12s GF and Sutherland could have been there - we will never know now. There are other age groups for other clubs affected as well.
