Everyone is assuming its unpaid rego fees? And that players haven't paid? Lots of other fees/fines clubs have to pay FNSW. Sometimes these are disputed as well. I hope FNSW made there position clear before the finals. After SCE were docked all first round points it should have been clear to the clubs that FNSW were serious. Feel very sorry for the kids involved. You speaking from experience jabrack? I hear your ex club sce had a few gpt hearings last season and know from experience they cost at least $500 each time.. Not to mention red cards at $60 a pop, these are fees not included in budget, and when budget is as tight as it is, these can really affect the financial status come end season. Even $50 fines for not signing team sheet, no one is perfect and clubs cant control what happens on the courts. Again im not involved in these clubs but we all shouldnt quickly jump to conclusions including myself, i had assumed was regos but jabrack put another scenario Sutherland had an incident in youth game, who knows the fines incurred and gpt fees etc

Unpaid rego fees is usually the main thing you hear about. Red cards, if it is something that the player has done such as swearing or fighting or something similarly stupid. Then make the player pay for it themselves.

Have you been to a game lately admin? It really feels like referees get bonus for red cards. My son got a red few weeks back. In the first minute the ball made contact with his hand ( wasn't intentional) he got first yellow, then he made a challenge for the ball, won the ball and other player fell to ground and he got a 2nd yellow then red. Why should i have to pay for the red card fine when the 2 yellows were soft. If going to fine clubs at least for straight reds not 2 minor incidents.

Agree on the cards/fouls being given to liberally. Saw 12G go to 5 fouls a week two weeks ago. Would of been amusing if 6th foul was given because I am sure neither team would know what to do. Same week 14G given 2 yellows for very little. Same week again Men's player copped 2 yellows in first 8 minutes. Too harsh IMO.
That being said the club budget should include allowance for fines etc and a % of uncollected rego fees. This is Accounting 101.

Did you or did you not read the part where I said 'swearing or fighting or something similarly stupid'. Things which a player can control. Unintentional handballs and things a player cannot control, are different. And yes I know some players say 'oh but I didn't swear'. I have seen one player get carded and miss a game because she was blamed for another girls swearing. The other girl knew it was her fault, but was too gutless to own up to it.

Mind you, when you consider all you get is an email from FNSW advising you of the suspension period, $50 a pop does look like a great money spinner! 10 per weekend would pay for a really good Chissy party!

So how come the sutho 16G played their prem final but the 12B couldn't, if the problem was with unpaid fees wouldn't FNSW disqualifyt the whole club?Is everyone sure the problem with the boys is money owing by the club.Surely FNSW wouldn't pick put just 1 team to punish? I don't know how these things work but someone out there must know what's going on? Are these girls going to be shafted at the last hour? Seems like a big mess not handled well by either parties!!!

Following is the footnote on the 16 boys finals results page for fnsw. which seems to suggest it is not a Sutherland specific prob - rather both teams in the minor semi appear to have breached some sort of "regulation".....
Competition Notes NEITHER TEAM FROM SEMI FINAL TWO (WEST CITY CRUSADERS V SUTHERLAND SHIRE FUTSAL)TO PROGRESS THROUGH TO THE PRELIMINARY FINAL DUE TO A BREACH IN REGULATIONS.
SYDNEY CITY EAGLES AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY FOR THE GRAND FINAL.

How sad and disappointing for all the players and parents involved should never have got this far. Someone needs to explain themselves

If it is because of playing unqualified players, why did not the FNSW official in attendance (they run the day) stop the breach from occurring?
