All the games that sutherland played in first semi was considered a loss. 12 boys finished 4th so a loss knocked them out. 16 girls finished 2nd so a loss gave 2nd chance. My question is, what now if debt still not payed?

Question: if money was owed at the end of the semifinal round, why are these games in the semis deemed to be a loss but they were allowed to keep the points from the round robin games when money was also owed?

I heard (not reliable) that fnsw gave all unfinancial clubs deadline 5pm friday before first semi. Sutherland paid on monday next business day so because it was after 5pm, they lost points first semi and unfortunately 12 boys were affected by it most. Not sure if true, will see if sutherland play grand finals

Sutherland should have paid by the deadline(if this is true about the money)
If the electricity company says you have until 5pm that day to pay or it is disconnected, you don't pay days later in the hope they won't cut it off.

But why let it drag on for so long...
Another point: will this situation have any implications on their admittance to the league next season when EVERY club needs to reapply for either Premier or State League?

What a mess! Bet there will be some angry parents. If I had to rank the most "passionate" parents, its the 12Boys!

All a bit confusing. I guess the Sutherland 12 Girls were in the same boat as the 16 Girls getting a 2nd chance having finished 2nd and lost the semi-final anyway.
Next question - In the Senior Men the semi-final results show that West City beat Raiders so should have been straight to the Grand Final. However, it appears that West City played UTS on Saturday in the prelim final and lost.
Is it simple as the semi-final result was wrongly loaded or is there a story to this situation?

Why were the "unfinancial" clubs allowed to play the first round of semis? Why wasn't the so-called "deadline" the Friday before the last round so the teams running 5th would be prepared? The word mess does not cover it: incompetence in the part of FNSW and @#$&*%#@ in the part of the clubs involved...

Crusaders are also un financial, their 16 boys were knocked out of preliminary final as well as sutherland with syd city not having to play preliminary and straight to grand final. Agree with vor, should have been eliminated straight after deadline and not played giving next team in ladder a chance. Hope all you premier league clubs are taking notes.

It makes no sense to have the deadline the day/evening before the Finals series commences. It gives the 5th placed team no warning. It would be interesting to know what requests/warnings etc the unfinancial clubs had received before FNSW imposed this type of sanction. Surely, this kind of action hasn't come out of the blue and FNSW had reached the end of their collective tether after much effort to get paid. Wonder how many clubs were in a similar boat but took action to avoid the last minute sanction. I would like to be a fly on the wall when some angry parents want some explanations about why the money they paid did not get forwarded to FNSW.

Your assuming that its a simple case of parents paid there fees and the club haven't sent them to FNSW? Generally speaking clubs have multiple sources of income, not just player fees. They also have many expenses and rego fees to FNSW is just one. As well rego fees to FNSW is just one of many fees/fines that clubs pay to FNSW. For example clubs pay fines to FNSW for each yellow and red cards in seniors. If a club owes money to FNSW it may be as simple a caae of them not having the funds available. Either income has fallen short of budget, expenses have exceeded budget, cash flow is just out of sync or a combination of all three. Of course all of this is speculation, but one thing for sure is teams that were going to be disqualified should never of taken the court.
