I thought the trial period window opens on sunday 16th july??
Seems a few clubs have gone in a day early and 1 club (SM)has decided to hold theirs the week before, so everyone signs up with their club before others follow rules and do following week.
Its funny, clubs want fnsw to clean up their act and push the game yet these same clubs continue to bend the rules.

Hmmm!!! Agree with you mr ray doesn't seem fair. Phoenix started their trials on the 23rd June and are holding their 3rd and final trial 7th July well and truly all over before the "trial perod" opens.

Not that I am sticking up for Pheonix, but they are actually the only club that stuck to the original Premier League window set down by Fnsw. Most clubs wanted the trials later that's why the trial window was extended & the Premier & state League trials now overlap.....

It really doesn't make a huge deal in Futsal. Most of the players know where they are going to play before they attend trials.
Essentially trials in this case are designed for new players or players shifting clubs.

So with that said, Mountain Majik (in my opinion) have done the right thing in sticking by their players.

The assumption teams/clubs that don’t conduct trials are rewarding player loyalty may not always be correct. In some instances I understand that coaches have been on the phone recruiting by invitation at the expense of players that have been loyal to the club for many seasons. I wonder if the discarded players also receive a phone call to let them know they’re no longer required?
