so clearly with no places in any girls teams - except maybe u12's you are confident you have the best Futsal players in Sydney ? Maybe im wrong but seems strange to have no trials - how do you know if some players may turn up who are better than what you already have
Anyway

Knowing Cotts as I do I think he knows how to find the right balance between loyalty to players who have done a job for his club under their coaching structure and finding players who would add somethin g extra to a team.

Pokerman - it's hard to believe you aren't having a dig when posting irrelevant information such as that. There is no problem with a link to quality players from an outdoor club and by Majik now being the closest premier league club in the west to those players that play for the only premier league outdoor club in the west for girls it makes sense for them to be at Majik. Regardless, you have your information completely wrong.

Nothing wrong with being loyal to the players who got you to the Premier League, however not having trials at all for certain age groups...is not right in my opinion.
You're not providing an opportunity for the up and coming players to trial with Majik...and as development is a primary focus for all aspiring young players, unfortunately the new players don't get an opportunity to test & compare themselves.
There's nothing wrong with linking to an outdoor club, however if there are no trials for some age groups, then people can only assume that the only way in is through the outdoor club.
Good luck in your first year in PL.
There's some very strong clubs out there and you may well find that your policy will change in the future.

Majik did a lot of recruiting last season and it paid off, it's good that they are showing faith in those players to step up to Premier League. Having said that there was one club that didn't hold trials last season in a lot of age groups and that didn't exactly turn out too well...

loyal I was speaking to 3 parents from Spartans 1/14s 2/16s who said the same thing. 1 in the 16s is not from Spartans and the 12 may have some not that I give a rats a. I just tried to explain why no trials thats all. anyway I am sure they will be more than competitive this year and good they stuck with the players that got them there.

Are some folks missing the point here. If the club is happy with all the returning girls and the squad is full then why hold trials? There are plenty of other clubs for the 'club hoppers' to try out for and 3 Super League clubs in the area.
