The Antonis penalty wasn't that clear cut but jeez the one that was given was a shocker. Time for a review system like other codes.

I was at the ground and I haven't seen it again on TV but even the first penalty (1-0) I thought was a little questionable - Brosque looked for contact - Gerria didn't contact Brosque, or ball for that matter.
I thought Antonis' was a penalty.
The Ryall event was a disappointing decision.
Great game. Good football from both teams. If every A-League game was at that level, crowds would average 20-30K.
Tavares has added a lot to Sydney's midfield both in possession and non-possession and he liberates Antonis and Dimitrajovic allowing them to play further up the park. Sydney still lack a cutting edge.

Ow yeh,
In that regard, it couldn't happen to a better bloke.
Ps, I'm not allowed to mention the bald headed tosser's name anymore.

They should send those decisions up to a replay referee. Bad luck that's it's not in the spirit of the game. Just get the right decision so it doesn't affect the result. Nothing else will work and even then some mistakes will be made but at least most will be correct.

I can now see Sydney going all the way this year, Victory are also very, very good. I'd like to see Smeltz and Janko together up front, maybe that would work?

I was there also that night .....they were woeful, pedestrian and very passive that night. However, one game doesn't mean it can't work, I agree with stopover that something different needs to happen in the final third. I'm not sure there are enough weeks in the season to sort it though. Janko was better last night than I have seen previously, but I'm not impressed with his season. With Tavares SFC have, seriously, one of the best central midfield triangles I think I have ever seen. I think Melbourne V has a good one , SFC trounced them in the second half with Antonis. Admittedly Broxam wasn't playing but SFC were very good. For me their final third crew were not as dynamic. Interestingly Tavares was gesticulating to his strikers several times in the first half when they enjoyed a lot of possession but little pentration.SFC will dominate a lot of possession and turf in the ensuing weeks. They will pin back a lot of teams in their defensive thirds. The imagination of Arnold and staff will determine how they will play it from there. I hope they don't take the option that England did when they had Peter Crouch in their squad and play the high ball game. There is a lot of experience in SFC squad and some serious young talent they could be a very very good team.

Arnold and Muscat showed what amateurs they are by the way they carry on. Arnold dropped the F bomb a few times right in front of the camera. Muscat is kidding when he complains about his players getting belted. Good game though and plenty of excitement. Melbourne play like a Postacoglou team. The coach should consider himself lucky that Ange bought extremely well before he left. I believe it's between Victory and Adelaide for the championship this year. A penalty should have been given to Antonis and the one against Victory wasn't a penalty. The ref got that one wrong 100%. But it was against Victory so who the hell cares....

Steve G,
I agree, I don't want them to win the championship.

Once again Mr Berisha does something stupid. No wonder this bloke ended up on the other side of the world playing in the A-League. Definitely a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic in the common sense department.

The Muscat and Berisha show will only get better as the season moves forward.

Admin,
I just want to state that in my opinion Muscat and Berisha are true gentlemen and ornaments to our game. Every time I think about fair play and true sportsmanship, these two come to my mind.
