Only the first half of the first game, but feeling a bit less than inspired. We are struggling to get two passes together in Ecuador's half. We have some fast skilful wide players on the bench, hopefully the coach gives them a chance sooner rather than later as we really haven't had much width.

Better second half as Ecuador sat back somewhat, but we created some chances and were a little unlucky not to get a draw. Morgan did make a couple of changes, but in case he hasn't worked it out, his starting 11 today is not his best team. If he is a fast learner (my mail is he isn't) I would expect a few changes. Irrespective, encouraged for the next game.

If we can avoid giving up early goals, we must be a good chance to beat Nigeria. I thought the Joeys were pretty good today.

FFA have this all wrong. They should lobby FIFA for no AUS game to have a first half. All our games should have 2 second halves!

Just watched the Hungry game. 2 Goals scored by set piece header and penalty kick. Hammond and the lad who plays in the UK deserved red cards. Botic and Pepion cost Australia the game , missed open goals and were constantly offside. Backs and midfield playeds well.

Very good result this morning, had some luck right at the end, but you need that. According to the commentator, the first time we have beaten Nigeria at this level, so that's a pretty decent effort in itself. Hopefully it's enough to progress to the round of 16.

Did Nigeria rest any of their key players given they had already qualified?

Did Nigeria rest any of their key players given they had already qualified? Nigeria should of pumped us, we were holding on to dear life. There combination play was world class, ours was 3rd rate. I believe we have some talented players, that need to go overseas that are currently here in Oz and develop to be better players. Trevor M at best is a school teacher nothing more.

How good is this Curriculum? Where's Whyme? Tarzan, the boys didn't follow the curriculum nor did they listen to TM tactics.
