The " Sin Bin" has been introduced in our association this season.
First grade and reserves only. For those who have already used the 10 minute bin, what do you think of it ? Are there any problems that you have encountered ? Do you support or dislike the concept ?

There has been many changes to the rules around this by Football NSW that I can't remember the latest version.
The concept is OK but the application has been poor. There has even been confusion at some games on a weekend about is it 5 mons or 10 mons and is there also a caution involved on the first or second offence.

Over here is a straight 10. 5 or ten will get too messy. It's for dissent only. The way I read it is that a player can belt another player and get a caution but not a sin bin. Shouldn't that player get 10 as well ? Another issue is keeping time when there are a number of players that might get sin binned at different stages. It's possible that 2 to 3 players get sin binned within a couple of minutes of each other.

tarzan,
By belting I mean committing a foul that warrants a caution. For example if I were playing against you in a game I would probably belt the living daylights out of you and yes, I would get sent off. Let me tell you it would be worth every week of that suspension. Watching you cry like the girl would be worth it. In fact, if I was refereeing your game I'd belt you and then send myself off.
