Does anyone know what is happening with this? Was there some criteria that was going to be announced on the 9th May, and then clubs had to re-apply for a licence based on that criteria?

Gee a potential new club gets a lot of time to submit an application.
NOT.
For an organisation such as FNSW that has paid employees the amount of consideration and bullshiit paperwork given to clubs with volunteers is beyond a joke.
All window dressing nobody reads the applications.

Just a couple of years ago they expanded the competition and now are reducing it? No consultation, no coherent strategy behind it. Similarities with recent restructures across SAP, Youth, snrs and TSP. In such a short period it is already apparent we have the worst team at the helm yet. What next?

The real question is “who is driving these changes without consultation, and more importantly, what is their agenda?”

Tarzan, every time you say "NSL", it reminds me back to the good old days when I used to be called a "WOG" from Anglo Aussies.

I can assure all that the Futsal review and reccomendations were based off the working group that basically said not enough talent, resources, etc etc. Therefore reduce leagues, improve comp quality.
Sound familiar? Oh yeah the Womens review did the same.
Clubs and people looking after their own interests.
As for profit in Futsal sorry DL but this is a big time loser and at best break even. After 5 years in Futsal comps this season we made a small profit. Thats a massive turnaround as prev we lost appx 8-10k each year. But it all comes out of the Mt Druitt pot so... meh.
But we have applied for a new 3 year license. LOL.

In a world of children living with screens, we should be expanding the comp... encouraging children to play. If people happy to travel, let them. What happens to all those players, who, just want to play in a decent structured comp on a Saturday? That is my rant for the moment...
