TSP started last night, first round of selections were supposed to be (and I say supposed to be quite loosely) based on State teams and state titles teams. However some of the coaches and selectors are also parents so I guess the sons are automatically included LOL . Lots of kids out there, possession & game was training. Some kids will be missing their own club training to attend these sessions. Hope they are worth while. Not sure where this path is heading ?? What happens after 16's ? Thoughts ? this tsp was supposed to be in satellite locations across Sydney metro, again false information, if all is held at vsp then it’s failed again !

They’re not all at VSP. “North” is at Cromer Park

Well, I've just been invited to a wedding but that doesn't mean I'll be joining the dance.

No one else seems to have answered your query so I'll have a go. If you're referring to boys, the best players in Sydney metro are scouted, and then play for SFC or WSW junior academies. This is U13 onwards. The teams aged 13-16 play against all the youth PL combined clubs (26 teams in total). U18 and over SFC is in PL1 and WSW in PL2. That's pretty much it. There used to be FNSW Institute (canned) and State Titles (canned). But not all the best players are at the HAL Club Academies. There are many reasons why but the constraints do include access to training venue and time required to commit to their programs that could be better utilised with homework by playing with a local club. Unfortunately people can get carried away with the old pathway term; a term for mine is a load of BS... Find a good coach who has the player's interest as their primary concern (and not winning), a coach who can develop good players and not one that accumulates players by picking the gems out of other peoples teams, train hard and smart and when others aren't training and you'll make your own 'pathway'... Apologies but 'pathway' is a networking term which is why Australian football is in its current level of health.
