GB has been given plenty of opportunity in the past and delivered very little. Very surprised he wasnt cut 12mths ago.
CCM is the only NSW HAL club that is seriously interested in promoting youth. Where does this leave the other HAL youth teams and all their hype??

Aspro and Scott have been given a good run by the Wanderers this year and the younger Baccus also getting some early game time. Melbourne City just as bad as Sydney too.

Not saying this is right or wrong - just an observation.
Would think GA had to deliver this year or it would have been curtains for him, all the talk about undefeated will likely ensure his reluctance to play any 'development" players will remain set in stone.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Blackwood has some talent. This is where the FFA should step in and force the club's hand. Either play the young player or lend, sell him to another club who will. No player should be sitting on a bench for most of the season for what ever reason. Ps, I don't rate Arnold as a coach and Okon is worse in my opinion.

To be fair to GA, which doesn't come easily to me, he was hired to win the title, anything else is secondary and in that regard, the situation is no different to what you see in all major European leagues, where big clubs do a lot of farming out. Young players coming through have to be really good at the big A League clubs, which is what you would expect, but that means that more than a few will miss out at those same clubs.

GB was given way too much time last year and way too much was demanded of him by the coaching staff. I think he is young, strong and did well last year considering what was going on around him. SFC were struggling last year and the senior members of that squad were struggling to have an impact also Brosque, Smeltz , Simon. It didn't help him that he failed to score. If GB was loaned out it is a win win situation. I think it is too early to throw him on the scrap heap.
I agree that CCM have many young players and that they don't have too many alternative strategies in that department. WSW have got a good balance and I think Josh Sotirio is one that has also done well and steadily improving.
I think the demands on GA to win have intensified as a consequence of the shambles they were last year.
