Nice to hear the commentators note that Thailand are technically superior...

Australia can consider themselves lucky not to have conceded a few more.
We are hopeless and that won't change in many lifetimes.

I heard they over trained and were fatigued. The temp would have had a major impact. Not saying they are the best but is not usual form

Rock solid boys. They'll come good when it matters.

Hope you're right Direct, really do. The good news is that Ang has a lot of credits in the bank, so I am sure there will be a fair bit of patience exhibited and given that Mike Cockerill has anointed Kevin Muscat as a successor, I think it's in everyone's interest for Ang to get it right. If the group stage had gone a bit better it would have been relatively easy to rationalize the Thailand result, but it hasn't and so we can't.
We lost the ball a lot (I watched the first half only) around the final third of the field and I think had we been better with possession (which of course was a hallmark of his Brisbane Roar team) then I think we may have managed an extra goal or two, but there seems to be a lack of confidence at the moment, aside from Rogic, in terms of players who seem capable inside the penalty area.
If teams like Thailand can catch us on the break so easily, then really we can't expect to progress very far at the World Cup even if we do make it. Over half the teams there can do that much more effectively than the Thais can and we struggled to counter that. I will be curious what Ang does from here as clearly the group is still open, but he does need to shuffle the pack and if he and the squad want to avoid real pressure, than a win is an absolute must against Iraq to get things going. We do have three games at home and hopefully we can get to the second last game against Japan with the job largely done.

We were slow mentally and physically last night against Thailand. God help us if we don't get kicks from the spot going forward.

Feel the captain should be dropped for Milligan.

Why don't we swap the cricketers with the Socceroos. A change of pace might do them all some good.
