What are people's opinions on the intention to flat line PYL1&2 ... Also, will the A League clubs /teams be playing up a year?

I think the system change is the best structure to date, my only concern is about the trial process I want to see clubs positions advertised for example,,,,,,,eg: looking for 6 players etc, no need to hold trials if your intention is to retain 90% of the squad, they should come clean and give the others a chance to go elsewhere ,as many clubs hold trials on the same day and same times.

Yes, the trials process will be very interesting, particularly when 90% of teams are picked on the first day. Doesn't leave much chance for those that miss out on their first choice club. Though maybe thats not too different from the current situation.

The sole bit of good news out of the changes is that all SL1 clubs will run proper youth league, certainly from an inner west perspective, think by having Dulwich Hill and Stanmore Hawks running teams, there will be more opportunities.

"Sole bit of good news"? EC, what about the opportunity to visit north of the Bridge? The way things are going in SL1 you might be making several trips. Top up your e-toll
