There is the thing VOR. If the clubs did put it out there, then there would be no room for people to make up their own truths.

Do outdoor clubs put it out there as you say? This is a genuine question as I am not involved in outdoor.
I have no problems with people advertising their fees, rather my issue is with people just quoting figures which may or may not be correct...
I have no idea what other clubs charge, and to be honest it does not worry me what they do. We try and keep our price as low as possible and I believe we give our players very good value for their $$$$: an excellent facility where to train and play, arguably very good coaching and high quality playing and training gear.

I've been critical before of other clubs failing to disclose fees, only reason I've taken it up with you is when you mentioned it was "dangerous ground" to declare what fees are. I can't work out the logic to that statement. I still reckon clubs don't disclose fees first is for fear of scaring off potential trialists. Take the challenge, whack em up and see who has the balls to follow. I will say if the $480 is correct at SCE with no training, then that maybe over what is considered fair and reasonable.

Dangerous ground to get "people" to tell us what clubs are charging; let the clubs inform the people, not the "people" tell us what the fees are; go to the source and there will be no confusion!
Mate, trials are over, squads are selected, who is going to be scared off? However, you'll find that we are one of the cheapest across both leagues... and we offer value for money!
Since you "know" that senior players do not pay at all, have a guess how much we charge for the season. You can PM me if you want to.

[quote source="/post/155278/thread" timestamp=" I will say if the $480 is correct at SCE with no training, then that maybe over what is considered fair and reasonable. richie, there are more factors to consider besides training. did you take into consideration their squad numbers in comparison to other clubs? Other clubs may train but they also have at least 5 players more than necessary, those 5 players alone cover the costs of training, some clubs also have major sponsors but still charge over $500 I really dont understand why the discussion about fees on public forum. Every club has different circumstances so they have different fees.

$400.00, and the players get 2 full strips, a polo shirt and a bag and they keep the lot. Joma is the supplier.
The value-added bits are half decent coaching and a pretty decent venue to train on every week and play half their games...
We think it is value for money but each club does its best under their particular circumstances so I won't criticise anybody!

MrGray, you have reinforced one of the points I made earlier: "some clubs also have major sponsors but still charge over $500" How do you know that? What constitutes a "major sponsor", how much money do they put in, how much of the club's overheads does the sponsorship cover? People just say things in a public forum, well intentioned as they may be and others take it as gospel; that's why I said it was "dangerous ground" to ask people how much clubs charged...

I just did a quick scan of the PL club's websites. Only one that had fees mentioned was Boomerangs which were $310 plus $65 for the playing kit for new players. I've got to say the websites for a lot of clubs are disappointing. They are either non-existent or rarely updated.

voice you are undervaluing the coaching and venue for the price, and no I have nothing to do with that club Thanks for that but like I said before, all clubs do the best they can under their own set of circumstances; our fees would have been less if it had not been for my pay rise: 100% on last year wages ($0.00).....

All different venues so unless venues charge all same price then no one should be comparing fees
