No, closing date for team entries has been extended to 13/9/13.
Decided at the Futsal meeting last night, Most Clubs thought 23/8 was too early as players can't be registered until 1/9/13.

Lots of healthy discussion and just as many differing opinions. What you would expect,I suppose, when you get administrators and Club volunteers together.
It was a good roll up and the FNSW staff had prepared well for the meeting. Too many topics discussed to put on here but everything from registering on MyFootball Club through to match day protocol was covered.
FNSW was receptive to suggestions put forward, and are going to work with the Clubs , to get the season off to a flying start.
Most importantly all Clubs need to get behind State Championships and enter teams by 13/9/13.

Interested to know were any of the following discussed:
1. Changing timing of games since I have never seen a day run on time in last 6 years. Break between games are too short. Why have a a draw that states Men kick off at 8pm when they never do? 2. Why not start the day earlier? Who wants to have the last game of the day so late any way? 3. Roles and responsibilities of bided officials. Training for bided officials 4. Rules night for coaches run by the refs? Whats a good slide tackle vs a bad one etc etc 5. Laws for accumulated yellow cards adversely effect players who play up regularly 6. We play the Mens and Womens games at 25 minutes halves since we are not playing 20 minutes stop clock halves. However the average 20 minute stop clock half goes for 32-25 minutes 7. Consistent use of horns, hooters etc across venues 8. Safety of venues (ie sideline too close to stands/walls 9. Ensuring players listed on team sheets are in attendance 10. Promotion of Mens and Womens games? Played on a Friday night for example?

I just had a look at the draws Any reason why Dural and Inner West haven't entered teams in all age groups? Also the Boomerangs are in the same boat!

The Dural Warriors have not entered ANY teams; parents of players have entered their sons and some friends instead.

Are trials for this years state teams invitation only and still limited to those playing in state titles?
Or is it just whoever the coaches want, they can have. No matter whether or not they have participated in state titles?

As per email from FNSW to all clubs. · Any age eligible player who represented NSW (Thunder or Lightning) at the 2013 FFA Futsal National Championships · Any age eligible player within FNSW regional programs and invited to trial · Any age eligible player identified at the 2013 FNSW Futsal State Championships and invited to trial · Any age eligible player identified in Men’s and Women’s Premier and State League Futsal competitions and invited to trialDoes not leave too many out, does it?

You sound a bit snipey there VOR.
I posted what I did because I am no longer involved in the game and when I last was, the trials were a farce to say the least.
