Watching game tonight If thats the best Australia have then we are a long, long way behind in ability. Can't pass, Can't dribble and slow as a wet weekend. I have seen better most weekends in PL and SL. [/quote Tall poppy syndrome Passtheball? These guys are giving it a go. Talented amateurs vs professionals so what do you expect. So get off your high horse and remain quiet!

Average compared to what? Do you watch them play locally? at Nationals? Yes, they are average compared with the professionals in Europe and South America, but they are the best we have in difficult circumstances with little support from FFA.

With all the programs introduced over the past few years to focus on technical abillity (yes predominently outdoor) I was expecting more. I will admit I do not now much about these players, do the play outdoor as well? as players I have watched in NSW PL seem to have more allround ability (Play both indoor and outdoor)

Disappointing result - but I must say I have enjoyed watching the three games over the past week.
Let's not forget that futsal is a very low profile sport in this country - let's not expect miracles on the world stage.

I'm surprised you haven't seen them play given your previous comments.

I think some people on here need to understand people have differing views, accept it and get over it!

I think some people on here need to understand people have differing views, accept it and get over it! I also think that some people need to be a bit better informed. To say you have seen better in PL and SL yet not know any of these players seems rather odd to me.

I will admit often not hung around to watch many of the mens games, but have watched enough and played just as much football (including indoor) to know when a side or players are not doing so well. They may well be better than what I saw. I do agree FFA does need to do a lot more for the sport and there may be many options. Happy to contibute on another thread. I think we should agree to disagree and move on.

You're right, we'll move on but please don't confuse football with futsal in this instance. Barring perhaps a couple of players who may be injured or just can't afford the time off work to play in this campaign, these are the best players we have, and most of them are from NSW. This tournament might just be the rocket up the backside the FFA need to put more resources into Futsal.
