azonda, yes records are kept and it seems that the home teams are penalized more times at home than away. As for the rest of you it is just sour grapes. Maybe you people should become referees and help out instead of whinging. From reports from the home coaches, our refs are no worse than some those encountered on away trips. A bit defensive. Some of us are and have been referees so to go up to Bathurst and cop the crap we get we are allowed an opinion. If you really think the standard of referees is good in Bathurst then there lies the problem. Sweep it under the carpet let us city folk whine about and it will go away. I've been involved with teams going to Bathurst for 15 years and I guarantee the only time someone has been happy with the refereeing was the fiikster when 1st and res grade won.

All talk!!! Stop whining and help, if you can!. When things don't go your way you whinge, when do go your way you whinge. The people from the other side of the Granite Curtain are very hard to please.
It's funny how only the whinging minority find their way to this forum. The happy majority have no need to comment.
We get more positive feedback on a personal level, than negative comments via a forum. I'm quite happy with the way things are done up here.

So whats your response? = Do the lawyers trick, sweeping generalisations with nothing specific. As for 'contributing to this Forum' (ie, replying specifically to others comments): An emu's answer to the critics- just stick your head in the sand. Enjoy the air down there [under mother earth]!

A few years back we went out to Bathurst. It was 1-1 with 2 minutes to go and one of the Bathurst players belted one of our defenders from behind, inside the penalty area, took the ball off him and scored the winner. Clear foul against the defender but the goal stood. Needless to say some of our parents went tropo with this. I didn't like it but we had no chance of making the semis so it didn't really matter. Anyway, after copping it from our parents with the Bathurst parents looking on and saying nothing the referee walked off. During the next game ( 15s ) Some of us decided to get a coffee. Up we went to the coffee cart and there was the referee, still in uniform making coffees with his wife. This is a deadset true story. I said to him, " at least you could have taken your uniform off, then you wouldn't be getting harassed now". He replied "I live here son, how many coffees is that ?" He didn't give a toss. One our parents parked himself next to the cart and was giving it to the referee about the quality of his refereeing and the quality of his coffee. He was asked to leave the ground and he did, screaming all the way. ( the Porto's love their football ). I swear this is a true story and I still laugh to this day when I think of it.

I'm not sure that any married referees would do the 14s except me and my wife doesn't come to watch and she certainly wouldn't be drinking what is laughingly called 'coffee' out at ALP.
Why should the referee remove his gear? Can't your parents control themselves? It sounds like your parent needs lessons in 'self control'.
The 'troppo' comments seems to be common with travelling parents. Is it something to do with the fresh air here in Bathurst?

No by not removing his uniform it shows the arrogance of the referee and shows the arrogance of the referees in Bathurst. Clearly you don't think there is a problem! As I've said before how would you like me to help?

Ballboy, we are in control, we react to the situation, to me that's control.
If we don't react that you'd be saying we are too silly to understand what is happening.
How can so many people be wrong and you hillbillies endorse it?

Hey Ballboy I think youve headed to many balls mate. On Monday Stats: U/13s at one stage 23 fouls agains BCL and 6 against Batthurst (Just for the record all bar 1 for BCL were in their on half of the field) - Stopped counting with 10mins to go.. Stats: U/16s 27 fouls against BCL & 9 Against Bathurst (Just for the Record all bar 2 for BCL were in their own half) Spoke to a Parent from the Berries U/16s, (played Saturday) who said he couldnt believe what he was witnessing, the ref was doing all he could to give Bathurst a chance including a scratch your head penalty that not even the ref when asked after the game knew what it was for, (probably seemed like a good idea at the time) and lets not forget the Berries Smashed Batthurst 3 - 1. So heres complaining from a team who won, so its not sour grapes mate. Just facts Mate, just facts...

banned,
You must heat the milk to at least 68 degrees for a good coffee. Make a coffee like that again and I'll red card you.

True story Last year u12 metro travel to bathurst We won 4 nil Our coach gets ejected from the game Referee stops the game to eject a parent from the grounds Bathurst awarded a penalty for a ball hitting the back of a granville player...the ball leaving a clear mark on the back of the players jersey .... Of course it was in the box ...and our goal keeper saved it BATHURST REFEREES ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THE GAME
