Beckham will never end up at city. There are strong feelings that he will end up with spurs, whether it be for the start of the season or in January if he doesn't go back to Milan

Also just read that Valencia will accept no less than 50 million euros for Villa, don't know if barca will spend that while also after fabregas and/or Ribery

Manchester City's new signing Carlos Tevez denied that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson did his best to keep him at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old Argentinian international has signed for United's city rivals in a £25.5 million ($52.8 million), five-year contract after his two-year deal at United ran out at the end of last season.
As United headed towards their 18th league title at the end of last term, speculation about whether United would extend Tevez's contract grew before Ferguson decided not to keep the Argentinian.
However, Ferguson suggested this week he had in fact wanted to retain Tevez's services and said he had tried to contact him in January regarding his future – only to be ignored by the player.
Those claims were comprehensively refuted by Tevez at his unveiling at the City of Manchester Stadium on Tuesday as he insisted Ferguson had never once been in touch.
"The fact I didn't stay at United was not about the fans it was because David Gill (chief executive) and Ferguson did not do enough to keep me there," Tevez said.
"I was there for two years and Sir Alex never called or sent any text messages in that time.
"The only time he talked to me was after a match against Roma to discuss a situation about going to play for Argentina.
"It doesn't seem that this is the way to treat a player in two years at the club."
Manchester City have not won English football's top flight title since 1968 but Tevez insists he is not concerned about the past and will use City's lack of silverware as a major motivation.
"The ambition I have here is to help Manchester City recover the status that the club once had as one of the best clubs in England," Tevez added.
"I am here to try and win titles and trophies – that is my main ambition."
City manager Mark Hughes has the biggest available funds of any boss in Barclays Premier League and the club continues to be linked with Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Chelsea captain John Terry.
Officials from City and Arsenal have been locked in discussions for the last 24 hours regarding Adebayor's future and a deal is looking increasingly likely.
The same cannot be said of Terry as Hughes admitted it will be difficult to draw the England captain away from Stamford Bridge, despite offering weekly wages in excess of £250,000 ($517,650) a week.
Interesting to hear SAF players skill weren't up to scratch hear !!!!

apparently inter have signed lucio from bayern and hleb on loan from barca......the david villa saga continues with the player said to be so desperate to join 'el tri-campeon' that he is willing to take a pay cut so that barca can meet valencia's fee...villa and barca have an agreement which will see villa earn 7.5mill a season over 4 years...valencia want 50mill for villa and barca only want to pay 42...so villa is willing to take a pay cut of 2mill per year to make up the 8mill difference, and earn 5.5mill, so he can play for the european CHAMPS...

david villa's agent will reportedly ask one last time, if Valencia have decided on the sum that would be required for barca to prise Villa from los Che. He will then inform Barcelona of the figure so that they can lodge a new offer.......but...

after dealings between inter and barca, it has been confirmed by the inter president, that the barca president and director of football are in milan and they have met in talks over a ibra-etoó swap deal..it is reported that Inter could sell Ibrahimovic to Barcelona for 40 million euros, plus Eto'o and Hleb...either either...etoó, ibra or villa will do fine they're only needed to finish and they r all quite accomplished at that...

Adebayor has been signed by manchester city pending a medical....and hold da phone...in breaking news, take etoó and villa out of the above equation because it has been confirmed that FCBarcelona have signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a player plus cash swap, 40million plus etoó - and hleb on loan...

I wouldn't be too excited about Ibrahimovic Messi..........he's been a big disappointment when playing in the Champs league.

don't hate... he is a world class finisher...and will most probably score more goals than etoó..he scored goals at will for inter even with their very uncreative midfield imagine how he will be with all of barca's creativity behind him...big, strong, fast, skillfull good with his back towards goal and can take players on and he's strong in the air and has great control...ibra far far greater than berbatov, owen, macheda, wellbeck and will fit it to barca's system well....as for la liga ..... villa, ibra, benzema, kaka, messi, ronaldo, iniesta need i go on....

Like i said, he failed on the big stage against good sides and he was playing for the Serie A Champions so they couldn't have been that bad!
Time will tell whether having better players around him will mean he becomes a better player. Lots of examples over at Real Madrid in the past few years Messi showing it doesn't always work!

he's been scoring 20+ goals season after season leading his team to how many italian titles? in what is rated possibly the toughest defencive leagues in europe and he's moving to a league where attacking play is encouraged more than most other leagues...imo if ibra was gifted the same opportunities as etoó this past season he would have easily eclipsed everyone in goalscoring correct me if i'm wrong....
