Some of us are magnanimous in congratulating your team.
Using your words, "easy on" the SuperReds. You wouldnt want us cheering on 'Aussie Guus' on FA Cup night would you???

Don't tell me Reaps has done a runner !!!! I really want to see how he can defend Sir Alex over his team selections. If I was a Man U supporter I would be pretty p.issed off with what took place !!! Extremely arrogant attitude !!!

Julio you old fossil, my congratulations were conveyed to Liverpool this morning at 10.09am! ;D No "runner" TTL just very busy. I have absolutely no problem with the side that Sir Alex put out against Everton. The main priorities are the Premier League and then the Champs League. If you asked 100 UNITED supporters the same question 99% would give you the same answer and it's nothing to do with arrogance. Of course it would have been nice to go to Wembley again but we've already been there twice this season and i'd much rather a trip to Rome than London anytime. You also have to consider the number of games played over the course of the season not only the PL games but CL, domestic cup games, International duty, World club thingy etc. You can't expect to win the League or the CL and have the best team on the park week in week out. You see mate, here's another example of "Loserpool syndrome"...........when Loserpool won the Champs League against Barca after coming back from 3-0 down, the league games leading up to the finals were secondary, of no interest to Rafa so he rested his best players to keep them fresh and they managed to come back to win the final on penalties. I can guarantee that if any of the other top three managers were in an identical situation they would have done exactly the same thing in regards to team selection. Mate..........we took them to a penalty shoot out with a load of youngsters in the side!!! What a fantastic experience for them and that experience will be an asset to themselves and the rest of the team if they get on the field in the coming weeks.! So there!

Reaps, I just believe that playing with only 3 of your regular team was to drastic. I work with 5 Man U supporters and they weren't happy, so there goes your 99% theory !!! So there!!! ;D ;D ;D

So there!!! ;D ;D ;D It's a game of opinions TTL and if we had won then everyone would have been saying how great Fergie is blah blah blah. Well the only thing i can say about the 5 UNITED supporters is they don't know an awful lot about Fergie and risking his better players for a trophy that we have won the most anyway was never going to be an option. You watch over the coming weeks in the PL............Chelski will start resting players and Arsenal will start resting players. Loserpool, if they lose to Arsenal on Weds morning will switch off and start think about Europe............their summer holidays that is!! ;D

Yeah Artie , for someone who was bragging about how they were going to pick up 5 trophies this season, and then to pass of the FA cup as if it was a trial game shows arrogance to me !!!

Reaps, can you honestly say that you weren't a little dissapointed with the 8 changes made to your team. Yeah they did great to go 120 minutes, but in the end they did lose !!!

Of course i was disappointed but you have to look at the big picture. Look, if UNITED beat Arsenal and get into the final and see off Loserpool to win the PL then the FA cup result will be forgotten. Nothing like another premiership and Champs league final to get the adrenaline going!

I don't find his reasoning to be borne out of arrogance but I do find questioning his reasons or passing judgement on his methods to be borne out of ignorance. Everton never really looked like winning the game and although United didn't either if the decision in relation to the Wellbeck tackle had gone United's way and they score from the resulting penalty then all of a sudden SAF is a genius. Scholes, Berbatov and Evra were initially going to start the game. After surveying the field the decision was made not to start with these players as there was the possibility of extra time so forward planning becomes an even greater priority - IMO!
