Could a viable option be for a coach/manager to award a 3-2-1 to players after each game on the team sheet? A simple process that could be done when team sheets are signed 5 minutes after the game. Then it eliminates the farce of players receiving awards if they don't play.

This is how it was done years ago.
Very Pety but clubs were keeping track of their players points, often clubs would forget and so clubs gave the points to who had most points so far ( which is why I suggested it to be online only visible to Fnsw) or clubs were caring and were influenced who to give points to.
Then it was changed to referees giving a point but majority of the time they just gave it to who scored most goals.
Whatever gets done, Majority of the most deserved players don't get the award.
I'm more concerned with Fnsw putting the awards night same weekend as the girls Proctor Cup..... with only 1 award winner and majority of committee away in Bathurst, we struggled to fill up up the table of 10 that we were forced to pay for pre season.

Doesn't matter how it is currently being adjudged or how it was in the past, the simply question is...is it fair and equal for all, if the answer is no, just give it the punt.
From what I've heard from some and reading other's posts on here, it's a fair dinkum dog's breakfast.
I'm guessing FNSW were the ones who came up with the voting method, that in itself should send alarm bells ringing as they couldn't run their own finger up a blocked backside.

This is how its done for outdoor football on the central coast

This is how its done for outdoor football on the central coast While on paper it sounds like a viable option, some coaches will still be biased. This was done in my association in outdoor as well, where my coach would repeatedly "give it to the worst player on the other team, so it helps our players get a better chance at winning."

It’s that time again and awards mean nothing cause clubs pick clubs not players. Kids don’t get picked as mvp on merit, they are packed on which club they come from and which club you get on most with, well people you are penalising the kids not the clubs. Shame on you all . Bring points back to referees.
