Explains now why JA insisted on doing state trials while outdoor are running trials so teams can be finalised before he goes, as usual it's all about him. I heard lot of players were forced to make decisions about attending national trials which is a shame as the states best will not be completing.

The sooner the better. In the past I have been frustrated that teams were picked so late they had little time to train. As for outdoor, there are always going to be conflicts. Outdoor runs for 10+ months.

Teams may be picked earlier but training doesn't start until 6 weeks away, so why couldn't they hold trials after outdoor finished in 2 weeks? Yes I believe so JA can leave to go to Bangkok, don't worry about all the players forced to choose and punished either way.

Yes I believe so JA can leave to go to Bangkok, don't worry about all the players forced to choose and punished either way. Its 7 weeks till the start of the nationals now. Your suggesting trials should be held end of November? That would leave you effectively 3 weeks of training before the Christmas break. I am not sure who you are (I am James Brackenrig) but you seem to have an issue with JA. All I can say he dedicates massive amounts of his time to the sport. The club he started has just been awarded the right by FFA to represent Australia at the AFF Championships and anyone passionate about the promotion of Futsal should understand how important this is for Australian Futsal and how important is for the coach to be at the tournament.

How passionate is he about the female side of the sport jabrack? Well he is coaching a girls state team, just like he did the last 2 tournaments, and he coaches a girls development team at Majik. They're running trials these last 2 weeks but the teams aren't beginning training until mid-December and will only have 4 training sessions in total. What's stopping them from training weekly until the tournament?

I was privy for quite some time by an employee of FNSW as to how the futsal coaching appointments were done.
All I will say is if people knew what I was told, only the ones in the "click" would ever apply to go to Nationals.
The rest had no hope.
Let's also not forget the backroom deals done for certain players aligned to certain coaches.
Not everybody is always a "Choir Boy".

Training has already commenced for the next outdoor season. 1 to 3 nights Futsal club 1- 2 sessions Futsal Saturdays Many kids have school sessions or academy sessions. Recovery sessions So much for the off season. Based on observation over the last 5 years, NSW overall is the best prepared for Nationals year in and year out. Yes it could be better, but how much training can you really fit in. What is the player's "End game"?

I have no problem with training starting mid December for state teams , my issue is why have trials same time as outdoor trials then nothing for a month?

How passionate is he about the female side of the sport jabrack? Passionate enough to add a female team to East Coast Heat this year. Passionate enough to ensure we got great players and coaches on board, so we could go undefeated during the regular season and be minor premiers. Then again this thread is all about the AFF Tournament and not any player or official. #feeltheheat

Sure did MT and this person has had considerable success coaching at FFA Nationals. Oops, am I allowed to go as far as that.
