Senior Football is a lot different than Puppy love u17 age group, defence was terrible, players were weak against the big boys, must change 60% of the players in this age group, they had their time, need to make way for others. Wonder how much those Nigerian kids paid for rego fees as they were growing up? And how many grew up playing on artificial surfaces and 1,000 + seating capacity for their parents to relax on?

The commentators pointed out that a lot of the African boys mature at an earlier age. The result is they perform much better at youth tournaments than they do at snrs.
Argentina performed badly at the tournament. I have no doubt there are better Argentinian players spread throughout the world that were not in their youth squad. Some players do not place the importance of this tournament as highly as others. Its the same old story at every level of youth football, some are in it for the immediate gratification of winning trophies and some have their eye on a far bigger prize.

Fiik, Leeds FC have been missing for years! Topic specific, have FNSW got their selections act together yet in Talent Identification the way it should be? I mean, it wasnt that long ago the emphasis from FNSW teams were to 'win' the Talent ID Games.

Scouting is an art and unfortunately they got it wrong, the coach must be accountable,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Nigerian football taught us a lesson.

[Nigerian football taught us a lesson] Sure did .Big, Fast, Strong players is what we need. I think the lesson for some of the goals was 'stay with your player and don't give him time and 3 metres (or more) space in the box'. But at other times the skill levels were light years apart ... like when the lad danced and stepped over into the box. Lovely to watch. Our keeper didn't cover himself in glory - caught out for 3 of the goals.
