It is what it is. Great social activity for a lot of the older ones at Windsor. Good to catch up with George too!!! Not having been for two years - I thought it ran really well ticked it off the list - we can now move on!! No predictions to report from the day but I do still believe Taipans may struggle to remain competitive across the board in PL1

Interesting results yesterday, Rangers taking 3 wins and a draw off Quake. Looks like Rangers will be the club to beat in P2 or Quake were depleted or will be weak this season. Looking at state league results, as per usual results missing for crusaders. From round 1 no clear lead as results look pretty even across all 6 clubs.

I wouldnt count out Boomerangs, especially now the competition is home and away based. The Boomers always travel well whilst most clubs dont. The games in Canberra will be the make or break for every club with hope for promotion. Top 3 SCE, BOOMERS, HAKOAH. Thats my opinion for what its worth.

3 wins v Quake is no indication of a clubs likely form in PL2 until next season when Quake have been relegated from PL1 which is inevitable.
Rangers will be safe in PL2.
CC to be fought between SCE, Hakoah and Raiders.

I predict Dural and Inner West to battle it out for CC and Quake and Taipans will fight to avoid relegation. Majik, Enfield and Vipers will be in a group just behind the top 2 but probably don’t have the depth across the 9 teams to sustain a CC challenge, UTS will be in a comfortable 6th with enough quality to avoid the relegation scrap but not enough finals contenders to move into the top half of the CC.
In PL2 today Raiders play Hakoah and Sydney City play Boomerangs. We might know tonight who the club to beat is.

It was mentioned to me that Imperial Eagles need to find a 17 girls by this coming weekend or they will be removed from the competition.
If anybody should be removed its the idiots that came up with this format of 3 tiers, or should I say 2 and a bit tiers.
My guess is they will be allowed to stay but removed from CC.
Pretty much the same deal that happen in outdoor competitions of recent years.
As I've said before NFI these people that try and reinvent the wheel.

Bookmakers stand to win a small fortune after Boomerangs put Sydney City Eagles to the sword with CC points this weekend.
I tipped Syd City Eagles, my first tipping error for decades, o'h well I still cashed up bigtime...

In defence of SCE - it was in Canberra SCE though have drifted significantly in the market as have Hakoah Strong money coming in for Raiders and Boomerangs with a bit of panic around Rangers - look like the big improver from last year. In PL1 - too early to tell DL - at the moment you could probably group the bottom 3 (UTS, Quake and Taipans) - need to see a few more games before we can get to see a clearer picture of the top end

IE are already out of CC race anyway and there is no relegation from SL. AFTER 3 rounds there are only 4 horses left in the race
