I constantly see threads questioning fees on here. The response is almost invariably because of x,y, and z costs, and then an attack on the thread or the person starting to question fees
If anyone out there in FNSW land wants to know why these questions are CONSTANTLY being asked, its simply because Football (including Futsal) costs SOOOOOOO much more than other comparable sports, AFL, Rugby, Rugby League, Basketball - rego for all of these is in the order of $100-150
Especially wrt Futsal, how can anyone justify a $600+ rego fee when basketball costs $110? In many cases they are the same stadiums, in many cases bball involves coaching, refs are paid, perhaps parents pay extra for the uniforms? OK add $50
The questions keep being asked in football because it doesn't happen in other major sports in this country. Why does football cost so much?

When premier league futsal men have to pay fees, one must say something is wrong. Hopefully my boys last year. FNSW shameful.

Those are social level basketball fees, a quick google search for rep level basketball fees shows prices in the $500-600 range.

when a futsal court costs around $100 per hour and you train 2 hours per week plus game, the numbers just dont stack up. Futsal is expenive simply because of court hire...theres no rocket science in that. The numbers speak for themselves.

I was looking at SSG TV and found an interview with Quake detailing some of the cost associates with Futsal ... this may be of some interest .... or maybe not About half way through the video they talk about club costs: www.facebook.com/TVSSG/videos/998597553536563/

Futsal should be a separate leauge more than just one hour training a week and one short game, it's a joke, 10 to 12 rounds a complete joke, if futsal is so important why are we treating this like a part time sport.

With court hire prices as high as they are the total cost will exceed winter comp.

With court hire prices as high as they are the total cost will exceed winter comp. Yes, but comes the time when one must choose outdoor or indoor as a career you cant have both if you want to specialize in one,
