Hey dark lord maybe you should run a club since you have been through more than tiger woods ! Or are u still suspendened from the sport Btw how is the Tennyson Tigers going these days ?? See what you and others don't understand one person doesn't run a club. A club is run by a number of people, not an individual or even a couple, but a duly elected committee. This is way any bias is removed from club business and so to agendas and conflict on interest. People get nominated and appointed to club positions on what they bring in life skills to a club. Tennyson Tigers dont exist these days, the NWSWF Assoc saw fit to that. The assoc that promotes local female football... As for any suspension I can't exactly given you a date but it is soooooooooooooooooon...

Love to see these forums just once praise the volunteers doing their best so your kids get to play the sport they obviously love.[/quote]
Berry, All football volunteers are idiots and should never receive praise. Maybe psychiatric help would be more appropriate. I use iswam an a classic example.

I agree with the clubs the regos need to be increased to meet and cover costs. What i have an issue with is the parents paying $600 + no matter which club for the development teams Under 8 / 9s /10s etc Do they even play against other development teams or are they trained in house so to speak? I can assume that that maybe two or three clubs will have enough players for the development teams at that age but no spread even moreso for girls teams? Who do they play against? Thommo fair question. Speaking on my clubs behalf Last season our 10s teams played more games than the PL teams with a number of double headers played on the weekends. The clubs that are running 8s and 9s will definitely have games every week. They might not all be against PL clubs as not all PL clubs have started with 8s but there will be 8 teams playing. Last season MM ran 11-12g comps and 4 or 5 clubs from SL competeted. But they played every week. It was excellent. At that age it doesnt matter who they play against as long they play. I doubt any club would charge the same price for training kids compared to having games. The cost difference would/should be lower without the game component as court hire for games as well as possibly gear would be deemed void. Thanks for the reply. Your answer makes sense.

If one said ten years ago that my lad would still be paying rego playing senior football I would have cried. I laugh today at the irony, this I hope will he his last as he wants to play. Still paying to play at the highest level available in NSW has misgivings, shame exists somewhere. People there is no elite free competition for the truly gifted. As said in Mad Max 2, "Just walk away." or in another show, "Leave it to Beaver." Disillusioned is an understatement. I thank my lucky stars he enjoys education.

Who would you like to pay for your son playing snrs? Since there is no money in futsal and clubs are barely breakeven...you must want the youngsters to subsidise your kid...really?? And dont use the "but i had to pay for snrs when my boy was young" argument. The harsh reality is that futsal is as commercially popular as a tiddliwinks competition.... and being an elite tiddliwinks player comes with no trimmings...and in fact its arguable you shouldnt be tagging any level of futsal (or tiddliwinks) "elite" ...sorry! And btw I love futsal and any other form of football but we all need to be realistic even when it hits our own hip pocket.

Futsal teams only train for 1 hour a week per team that's it............, and a game per week that's it............ you pay for what you get.

Yes! Do the numbers and see what you come up with. the sums I've come up with is $38,000 I was hoping someone could break it down the fees as from my research, these are the sums I've worked out, what am I missing for the rest of $22,000??? Coaches wages? $8,000 courts for home games $5000 fnsw rego $4000 referee $6000 training $10,000 gear $5,000 presentation Don't forget the payment to FNSW for the yellow and red cards for senior teams.... If I remember rightly from a couple of seasons ago a junior team from Sutherland - U11 or U12s I think it was - had their semi cancelled/forfeited at the last minute because the club hadn't paid their bill. Poor U11 or 12s suffering for a major admin oversight....
