I think the thread was "quite a lot of coverage of futsal in the Whole of Football Plan." It was then stated that it wasn't specifically mentioned - which was wrong It was then stated no ones building futsal courts anyway - which was wrong It was then stated these are really only multipurpose court that baseball are going to book - which was wrong And somehow the issue is now Valentine Park is too small to handle the crowd - finally someone has got something right! Whole of Football Plan is not Futsal. Football & Futsal are 2 separate codes. The plan refers clearly to the outdoor code with some fleeting gestures to Futsal. FFA don't give a tinkers cuss about Futsal. You live in hope and there is none. Futsal needs a private backer to bring it to prominence not FNSW or the FFA. Great sport for TV and to watch as close to the action. If anybody thinks who runs it in the past and present will take it into the future with gusto then they also believe in the tooth fairy.

Whole of Football Plan is not Futsal. - Then why was it referenced more than a dozen times? Why were futsal videos shown in the video version?
Football & Futsal are 2 separate codes. The plan refers clearly to the outdoor code with some fleeting gestures to Futsal. - same as above
FFA don't give a tinkers cuss about Futsal.- in the past true but there are signs that is changing. The new FFA Technical Director is pro futsal and the whole of football plan specifically stated futsal should be part of ALL football players development. You don't say that if you don't give a tinkers cuss.
You live in hope and there is none. - I do live in hope and thats because every day I do something about it. What do you do?
Futsal needs a private backer to bring it to prominence not FNSW or the FFA. - probably right. But if its not under FFA then there are is no AFC's, World Cups, FIFA Refereeing etc etc
Great sport for TV and to watch as close to the action. - agreed
If anybody thinks who runs it in the past and present will take it into the future with gusto then they also believe in the tooth fairy. - thanks for your support

What a load of bollocks. As for Futsal videos, in any presentation these days whether it be sport or education it will generally have a visual part to all modules contained within. This inclusion of Futsal videos is for those that have never seen a Futsal match being played or the training methods and techniques used. Stating there are signs that it is changing. Signs alone isn't change. Actions speak louder than words... As for running under the FFA, who cares about the spin offs that comes with that. For too long that have sat on their hands and done S. F. A. A private entrepreneur can take the sport forward not bury it like the FFA have done for years. Prizemoney, television rights, sponsorship, do you really think the pen pushers in Lowy's Ivory Tower care or better still have the skills to project the sport into the limelight. You are kidding yourself if you believe they can or will. Dream on Peter, we'll all be in Neverland soon.....

DL everything is relative. FFA has historically said nothing and there has been no internal support. They are now saying things and there is internal support. AFC is also pushing FFA.
I will openly agree that its talk at the moment and we have to see tangible action.
A for "running under the FFA, who cares about the spin offs that comes with that" - I do. I like the idea of Aussie teams that your don't have to pay to belong in, real world cups where the top countries and players attend, AFC Club championships against the finest teams in Asia, FIFA standard referring and coaching, standardised rules etc. The list goes on and on.

How is the Australian Women's team going in international competitions at the moment? As you well know FFA does not have a womens futsal team at the moment, but neither does any other organisation in Australia. Tours paid by players don't count. The lack of a women team is a real shame as we would be able to put a very competitive team on the court. But the lack of a women team does not negate the positives I have listed of being part of FFA.

Unless both genders are treated equally, then they can stick their plan where the sun doesn't shine. FFA came out and said that women were the future. Positives have to be EQUAL or they are a sham.

I've heard that the mens and womens winners of the F-League will be competing in the Asean club championships later in the year all expenses paid. If true its a start.
