Same same SOP Teams were chosen before the final trial. Maybe the coaches were looking at 1 or 2 to complete the squads but over all teams were picked. Last session was to please parents.
Quake coach in the 14's pick his favourites. How many super league boys made the squad?

Quake coach is Lightening coach. Thunder had more of a choice and picked 75% same as last yr. Not fair SOP some kids should have been picked over at least 3 kids in thunder. Knowing dad goes along way doesn't it. Be honest did you pick them on form or what another coach coaching another age group recommended? Its all done now so best of luck to both teams.

Wouldn't know I'm not the coach but do know the lightning coach

Trials in the 11s and 12s were a joke. That age group is a boys club.

The coaches SOP. Some of the players picked were simply picked because their dads are part of a boys club within that age group. MV coaches along with IWM coach along with ER coaches. They are all at APIA outdoor. How some of their kids got selected in the teams over others is disgraceful.

Interesting that you knew about the names of kids picked before everyone got the email invites. The mail came out at 2 am today yet your post went up yesterday. You seem to have known the names of players selected and not selected before anyone. There are always players that miss out but are good enough to be in the team, but from the names I heard that were selected all have previously represented the state, currently play Futsal and outdoor at PYL clubs , and several play at the institute so a pretty good crop in mho.

Interesting how you just joined to ask that question 1v1. What I am saying is that I knew the who the boys were selected before the 1st trial was over and that's way before the email that came out with the selected players I wrote that. Not because I coach one of the sides but because I know how it works. If your son is with Apia and you get on well with the TD then your half way there. PS my son made the Thunder team not because I know Apia TD but "because he is the best futsal player in the world". (this is said tongue in cheek) Waste of time and they should just tell the boys at the state titles "we want you in the thunder/lightening team". This would save time of all the parents. Remember its just one man opinion whether your son is good enough.

Having had both a son and a daughter who have experienced the good times and the bad times with favouritism as well as rejection in past futsal nsw trials
Rejection is not the end of the road, just as selection does not guarantee you future success.
As long as there have been trials there will be the triumphant and the despondent.
You may not like what happens but I can guarantee you one thing it will happen again and you might next time not be on the receiving end of a 'so called, bad call'

your on here saying that it's rigged cause the coach is from magic yet only 2 -3 players from magic made the thunder side. Magic are currently undefeated and state champions so they should be the ones feeling under done . Secondly you mentioned the Enfield coaches , they are currently running second with a side of all but 3 players that are 11 yet only one of the 11 year olds made the lighting side and no the child selected wasn't the coaches son so maybe you should stop talking kiss about the kids that were selected cause at the end of the day they are only kids .

Sorry nineteen is this meant for me? Better go back and read it again. Yes Enfield (and Apia) coach's son didn't make it. I was referring to the other Apia coach (TD), that's what you missed the letters TD. Enjoy
