I believe most if not all the appointed coaches attended the AFC level 1 course recently

RYB, just because someone attends a course and gets a Gold Star doesn't necessarily mean they are best for that job.
Just think of the amount of lunatics that have a driver licence, that doesn't make them a good driver.
Same with coaching, going to a course doesn't make you a good coach.....

Attending a course doesn't guarantee someone will be a good coach, but it sure improves the chances they will. Australia is miles behind the rest of AFC in coach education and getting that fixed is crucial to Futsal improving in this country. Referring to an AFC Level 1 course as a "gold star" trivialises a very important, if not the most important issue facing futsal in this country.

I don't understand open trials, is there no one watching players to warrant an invitation to trial? ??.

I don't understand open trials, is there no one watching players to warrant an invitation to trial? ??. Not many got to watch a whole lot this year...especially given the late notice and the differing ages at different venues...especially in the women.
