Since I have only just heard that Nationals next year are being held in Sydney. I thought I would open it up to discussion.
What is the quality of competition going to be like with ACT now having to travel?

It's not just their need to travel but the ridiculous cost attached to it...
On the positive side there may be some NSW players who have not participated in the last few years now trying out for teams...

ACT Mens and Womens almost pulled out this year so expect no entries or severely weakened ones.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO FFA NATIONAL FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Football Federation Australia has informed Member Federations, including Capital Football, that the 2015 National Futsal Championships to be held in Sydney will not feature an Open Men’s or Women’s competition. In a communique with Federations, the FFA advised that it has recently taken steps to form a National Working Group for Futsal, comprised of key Member Federation operational staff, stakeholders and CEO’s. After discussion at the first meeting, it was suggested that the age groups provided at the annual National Futsal Championships (NFC’s) be reviewed from previous years with a particular focus on the potential to change the Open competitions for Men’s and Women to an under 23 competition.
The FFA has considered the request and after consultation with the Futsalroos National Team coach, Rob Varela and FFA Head of National Performance Luke Casserly, the open men’s and open women’s divisions will discontinue. It is expected that the Hummel F-League, conducted by Football NSW will take greater precedence and provide a platform for national team selections. In addition, FFA recommends the implementation of an Under 23 Men’s and Under 23 Women’s competition [subject to interest from each Federation] with the age of players to be based on the player’s age as at 31st of December, 2014.
Federations are invited to compete in the following age groups:
Athletes with Disability Open Mixed U12 Boys and U12 Girls U13 Boys U14 Boys and U14 Girls U15 Boys U16 Boys and U16 Girls Youth Men (U19) Youth Women (U19) U23 Men U23 Women
For more information on the 2015 FFA National Futsal Championships, please contact Football NSW.

Pleasing to see that the F-League will provide a platform for national team selections. One problem though.....we don't have a Women's national team !!

Anyone heard anything about NSW coach appointments for Nationals?
Email to request applications says that if successful then you would be required to attend a meeting on Monday 29th Sept.
If they have not made the announcements, then not a lot of notice if you are successful to re-arrange other events you may have planned...
Like training sessions for SL/PL teams in preparation for State Titles....
