Futsal will damage your ankles and knees ask any doctor According to Jiri Dvorak, FIFA's Chief Medical Officer "the risk of a time-loss injury per player match was lower in futsal than in football" and "the location and type of injuries were similar between the two ways of playing football"

I would say Futsal can injure your ankles & knees if you do not take care and have a decent physio, plus kids need to let their bodies rest a little. The idea of futsal season running into outdoor, then outdoor running into futsal and the way it just keeps going. Is not good for growing bodies. Mucking around and playing out on the street or at an indoor centre with your mates, is a lot different to PL Futsal & Outdoor for about 11months a year.

Agree Admin, Futsal is still a game to be enjoyed, as has been demonstrated when elite outdoor clubs ban their players from playing futsal only for those elite players to lie to their clubs & play futsal anyway! At the grass roots, Futsal is still unknown in the footballing community at large. These 'rep PL Futsal clubs are merely catering for those players & parents who can afford the fees = a Rich Kids Sport.

Great, because I don't have a clue what other clubs charge, you may just let us all know, provided you have solid evidence. By the way I am glad my son does not do ballet, it is a heck more expensive than Futsal but it compares well with Football...

Not sure how much it is for older players. Last season it was $545 for youth. It is a rich kids' sport for sure.

It definitely has gotten a lot more expensive over the last few years.

Last time I looked PL outdoor were $1500 to $2000+. Add the additional money parents fork out for private training and academies etc and it can add up.
Does that make the kids playing PL Outdoor Super Rich?

Ballet fees "slightly" higher than Futsal, coming from someone who put 2 daughters through it... I nearly forgot: fees do not include "concert costs"...

Swimming fees at SOPAC for the elite are around $3400 - $3500 per year
No more to pay..................
What you get for that is,
7 x 2.5hrs sessions each week
NSWIS specialist consultations, dietary, nutrition, phsychology, physio, conditioning
World class training facilities, such as pool, timing equipment, underwater cameras, indivdual swimming programs to suit stroke and distance events
pool entry costumes, (training and race) swim meet events
Is it expensive, yes
Am I wealthy, no
Do I do it because I love my daughter, yes
Does she enjoy it, yes.
Will she be a superstar, probably not, but she is giving it her best.
Will she pursue a career with something she has learn't at swimming, yes most likely coaching

O'h one final thing, is there any politics in swimming,
NO.
If you can't swim the time required no amount of help or brown nosing will get you a start in any event, you're on your own and you can't buy your way into squads either.
