There is a Sydney based coach who is assisting the Boomerangs and yes, his daughter plus 2 more young Sydney based players are in the Boomerangs squad. Looking at the excessively large squads assembled by Scorpions and Dural I guess for game time purposes the Boomerangs is a viable option although team training a virtual impossibility !! So we play for glory ! & not train for development, how is this good for the future of the sport ! If so committed why not create another Sydney team so they can at least train for the development & future of the team & also attract even more good players Short term thinking considering this is the F-League I don't think it is as simple as that. Entering an F League team is a costly operation so unless you have any brilliant ideas as to how to get around that we are left with the current situation.

Put a couple of hundred on the Aussies to win the WC in Brazil. That will give you the funds to enter a team!

VOR, I take your points but Sydney has enough female talent to support 3 teams and it's just a shame another one couldn't get off the ground. Compare that with Canberra who have 2 teams but by no means the talent available. However I can see the Scorpions coach having selection headaches with the talent available to him !!

With regard to the Sydney girls playing for the boomerangs, ideally they would be playing in a third Sydney team but since there isn’t one the move south is probably a good one for them especially the 2 younger players who are from the Scorpions feeder clubs but wouldn’t get a run there. I've watched some of the video of last weekend’s Scorpions v Boomerangs game that was posted on facebook and the young Mascot keeper played very well for the Boomerangs while in comparison the very talented third choice Scorpions keeper spent the whole time on the bench. She would be a starter in any other team in the league but she is going to get very little game time where she is.

The 'stop clock' rules have added a new dimension to the games with each half lasting between 35-40 minutes !! The new Valentine Park court has a top playing surface which is good for a fast-flowing game.
