Good response to trials today.
SCE are still looking for goalkeepers in 12, 14 and 16 girls and a couple of players for each age group in Girls/Women.
Squad numbers will be purposely kept low to ensure all players get plenty of court time.
Send me a message if you want more info or to arrange a trial. If you would like to chat about playing for SCE please ring 0414 889938.
Go Eagles :-)

Sydney City Eagles are looking for the right players to finalise their girls teams.
Places are limited and we are happy to consider siblings, or friends, wanting to play at the same Club. Experience not necessary....Enthusiasm and spirit a must!
If you are waiting for another trial date, please don't, because there will not be anymore open trials.
Remaining spots will be filled by contacting Kerry on 0414 889938. Ring for a confidential chat and we will arrange for you to train with the team.
Interested in being a goalkeeper? Eagles can offer one on one goalkeeper training. Our aim is for all the girls to enjoy their futsal, both on the court, or in goals.
Eagles are looking forward to a fantastic year for our Club. Send a message or ring 0414889938 today :-)

Training is Pre-season only and includes State Titles Championship as part of the preparation..
The vast majority of our players requested no training during the season, but I can offer something extra ,for those that want to do a bit more during the season.
Please ring or email, if you want to discuss what is happening, in detail :-)

Yes. We have to compete with all the other things that kids do these days. They are playing in 7 a side competitions, they play other sports, have music or dancing practice, go to drama,, have a part time job etc etc etc. The parents have other kids to get other places and can't commit to the training. I can understand where they are coming from. I have to go with the flow and respect that they are being honest which is the best way in the long run. Not everyone is as Futsal mad as you and I VOR :-)

I just think that training in many aspects is just as important (if not more important) than the weekend games. I guess it's hard to please everyone.

It is indeed. And if we want them to play, and a Club needs players, sometimes we have to go with what the majority wants.
I would rather see them play than walk away from the sport.
As I said before, I have something in place for those that want to do extra, and details are available if anyone wants to enquire,
Please ring 0414 889938 or email sydneycityeaglesfutsal@gmail.com for more info.
Preseason has lots happening :-)

So when it comes to selecting the teams for the games, do the ones who are committed to the club get a head start over the ones who are committed to themselves?

So when it comes to selecting the teams for the games, do the ones who are committed to the club get a head start over the ones who are committed to themselves? Oh come on VOR that doesn't happen in most(won't say all, because some do put loyalty over winning at any cost) other clubs, so why ask it of this club. SCE I will admit are pretty fair from what I have seen.

Just curious, if there is no training, then it would reasonable to expect the fees of SCE are quite less than other clubs, given a training court hire component shouldn't be factored in.
Someone said fees where at $480?
Is that correct?

Mate, you are 100% right; however clubs may want to have their own standards and not just do certain things because others do it as well. It's about setting the bar high and sticking to your principles!
Are you aware that if the current Futsalroos Captain and Vice Captain do not train for the club without a very good reason, under team rules, do not get court time? Mind you, they are probably the best trainers in the club!
Also, they enforce that with the junior teams they coach at the club...
I am not being self righteous here, just commenting on the different approaches clubs take.
