Hey George,
I know of one Phoenix coach that is very happy with his squad.
Maybe a chance to break into song over it......

What happened to decent manners.? A simple email or text informing someone they didn't make a team is all that is needed. To ignore young people who have taken the time to attend a trial is just plain RUDE and they talk about the young generation having no manners some of these committees and coaches could learn a few!!!

Well said and agreed. It doesn't take long to say thanks for trying out and good luck with the rest of your trials. Manners are a dying part of society and not just with the kids either.

Hey Space,
How are the troops looking?
Have you still go that one spot left open?
No more sideways or out the door movement there?

I won't reveal as to where yet................................................ Sydney city? Seems every season all the womens teams move around... Pumas to eagles> eagles to wolves> wolves to pumas, with crusaders desperately trying to poach players from clubs already signed to. I also hear majority of female players moved from eagles to wolves following coach there, but wolves still advertising players? With the new rebranding of vikings,do they need to register extra players than normal to recover funds? They advertised the big turn out at trials in particular 14 boys but are now looking for players? Maybe they should not have turned players away. Same with a lot of clubs turning players away hoping superstars come knocking then beg and plead for players in desperation. How are we meant to develop the sport when clubs are only looking for players that have futsal experience. Clubs need to introduce outdoor players to the game and develop them to keep the sport active.

Mr Gray. I don't know who you're getting your information from about Wolves but you need to find another source.
In 12 and 14 boys we are looking for goal keepers. This is because the 2 we had changed their minds. That happens and we aren't Robinson Crusoe on that one.
We are there to develop players especially those with limited futsal experience. Wolves have attracted players from many different areas and all teams are new teams.
Squads are normal size. We aren't signing extra players to raise revenue. We are asking people to pay their fees, no more, no less.
There wasn't a mass exodus of players from Eagles to Wolves and we aren't advertising for women's players. I do need a few 15 girls and a keeper.
All the other teams are full. Everyone is happy, ready to start training, and looking forward to our season launch.
As for turning people away, you can't take everyone, and still give reasonable court time. If you have 30 or 40 trialling you have to let more go than you keep.

Some of the coaches and club members are the same, but it is definitely a new club. Sometimes the stubbornness of a few makes for a new beginning. I think they will do well, the knowledge and will to succeed is there.

Thank you. That is exactly right. You've hit the nail on the head.
Please don't kick us down before we've had a chance. Wolves just want the kids to improve and Futsal to be the winner in the end.
Wolves have the most enthuisiastic bunch of people I've seen in a long time, and its a real buzz to be involved, right from the start.
Here's to a great State League competition for 2014/2015 :-)

Nice to catch up with the Phoenix Master today albeit sporting a pretty poor Movember effort...
O'h and the line you try to give for doing so was a "Barry Crocker"...
