I think we should sign a bloke named david villa, he can replace the goals of ronaldo and then there is talk we are getting valencia. i am not sure on him. i would go for aaron lennon, he has unlimited potential. sign lennon and villa. fixes the right side problem and the goals and there is still money left over. could then get some cover for evra with the leftovers.

you also got to replace tevez, and giggs and scholes are past their sell by date. Take those 4 out of team and it will struggle add to that the defence of vidic and poor old john o shea ,next year could be the year of the arsenal.

The 'next year' is always going to be Arsenal's year and it never happens. I'm sure that SAF will buy quality with the CR cash !!!
I get the impression that CR would have been trouble for ManU next season so probably a good time to accept Real's offer. Be interesting to see how their new coach handles all the egos !!!

CR is a great player and his input will be missed by Utd fans,as will his ability to entertain the crowd. Strangely enough I don't feel too gutted by the news. I guess the 80 million softened the impact. If Rooney had been sold, I think I would have felt a little sadder.

what should united do with the money from the ronaldo sale? Replenish Ol' Trifid's sacramental wine stocks that Reaper & Pastor Sir Alex have raided!!! ;D ;D ;D Seriously (yes Reaper, we can be serious as well!), This will be the test for Sir Alex- whether the monies are spent well or on 1 or more duds- the pastor has had howlers for selections in the past eg, that Italian keeper Massimilo? who was signed to replace Bosnich, then theres Stam (Manu didnt have decent central defender until Vidic has properly settled), then theres selling Pique,....

The only problem with finding replacements these days are the over inflated prices clubs and agents are asking. Ribery is not worth 40 million as a replacement but i think he could fill the vacancy for 25 million. Fortunately, it is unlikely that Real having signed Ronaldo, will want to fork out large wads of the folding stuff for another right sided midfielder so Riberys agent and Bayern might come up with a more realistic price in Reals absence in the bidding. Personally, i'd go for Valencia...........he gave O'Shea a very hard time when we played them at the JJB. I think Nani is on his way as he's really done nothing when he's had the opportunity. Also we still need a left winger to replace Giggs as i don't believe playing right footed players in that position is a long term propsect. Hopefully Hargreaves will have fully recovered and be fighting for a spot next season. Interesting times ahead!

I do however like David Silva as a replacement for Gigg's, he can play on either wing or as an attacking midfielder and he's left footed. An added bonus is he is skilled in the art of Machette fighting so we can let him loose on the Kop end!

Julio........you haven't been taking your medication have you? You naughty boy!! Sir Alex has signed a few duds agreed but by far the vast majority have turned out to be quality and besides Wenger, he is probably the second best manager at spotting a bargain. Now at this point i am going to give you a couple of boots in the scrote............compare Sir Alex's "dud" signings with.............Houlier and Benitezs "dud" signings!! If you are going to reply to that question may i suggest that you start immediately...........you should be finished by tomorrow morning!! BTW, Pique left because of the lack of opportunity..........nothing else and we made a handsome profit from the deal!
